These are non-dilutive federal research awards, not investment. A dollar figure beside a company name is the total that company has been awarded by federal agencies. It is not a valuation, a funding round, or venture capital.

Award status describes the funding, never the company. NIH institute labels are assigned by NIH for 55% of companies and predicted by a classifier (89.5% accurate where applied) for the rest, marked as such wherever they appear. Condition tags are evidence-weighted from award text and cover 64% of companies.

Accelerator badges indicate admission to that program. They are not funding, investment, valuation, or any claim about how a company has performed. Y Combinator badges come from YC’s own public company index; MassChallenge badges come from MassChallenge’s alumni list. Companies are matched by name and website, so a match is a strong indication rather than a certainty.

The filter rail, the table view and the shortlist are built for a larger screen. Everything works on a phone, but scanning several hundred results is easier on a tablet or laptop.
